I formed Vantex Mortgage Group in January of 2003. We are licensed and regulated by the California Department of Real Estate and the Federal Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System & Registry.
I began my mortgage career in the late 1970's originating hard money mortgages. During that time, the majority of hard money loans were small 2nd mortgages to borrowers that were in financial trouble, construction loans and land loans. The loans that banks and conventional lenders would not do. We always had more funds available then loans, and therefore we rarely had to look for capital beyond our regular investor base.
THINGS HAVE CHANGED!
With the current meltdown in the secondary mortgage market, conventional banks and mortgage lenders are simply not making loans to non conventional borrowers, leaving a huge void and thereby creating a fantastic opportunity for private trust deed investors. Many of our clients are "A" paper borrowers purchasing properties with large down payments, but because of some minor glitch, cannot get a bank to make them a loan. As our business grows, We are currently seeking to add to our private investor base, which will allow us to originate a larger number of private money mortgages.
I personally present each and every deal to our investor base. I am very relationship driven, and look for investors that I can develop long term partnerships with.
